Hello! It’s so nice to meet you.

Let’s get to know each other a bit better, shall we? Please, let me introduce myself.

My name is Melissa Tullis.

I'm a fine artist and maker who vibrantly paints enchanting floral and nature inspired pieces: blissful blooms, birds, and butterflies that last a lifetime. Art isn't just this lifeless object that hangs on walls or in galleries. It can be inspirational and life-giving when it’s seen every day amidst the backdrop of our beautiful chaos and simple moments of every day life.

So, where does all this magic happen, you ask? My creative soul paints from home in my light-filled studio surrounded by my vivacious family of 7: my best friend and husband, 4 beautiful girls, and one darling boy. Life is rarely dull at our house which fills me with the fuel for all my colorful artwork, which are most definitely, all about the flowers.

I perhaps owe becoming a painter to flowers.

My Sweet Grandmother

My Sweet Grandmother

I can’t remember a time I didn’t literally stop to smell the roses. One of my favorite childhood places was the sun-soaked arbor in my grandmother’s backyard flower garden full of snowball bushes taller than me while sitting on top of the cool gray stone bench from my great-grandmother’s flower garden.

Her garden, full of rows and rows of purple and white irises bowing their heads in the spring and early summer breeze, will always be a favorite of mine. It’s where fairy tales came true and forest nymphs would play igniting in me the love of flowers as deep as the heady perfume of noon day. My very own secret garden.

I’m on a mission to banish the starkness of our walls and fill our hearts with joy and awe: To bring you paintings that are beautiful reminders to dance often, laugh more, and spread seeds of kindness like widflowers.

Today that translates into a desire to refresh the souls of others. Nature has the power to soothe and connect us all. My hope is that everything offered blooms a sense of happiness and peace in your everyday living spaces, and reminds you to soak up the beauty of this earth, with each petal, wing, or vista, as you cultivate and explore the wonders flourishing in our wonderful world. My ultimate wish? I hope to stir your awe-inspired soul with beauty and connection.

Let’s frolic through the flowers together.
