What materials go into an original painting?

I am currently obsessed with vivid acrylic inks, heavy body acrylic paints, paint pens, soft water-soluable pastels, and chalk pastels on my paper and canvas works. I love layers! To have a further peek into my process visit my STUDIO TOUR or follow me on Instagram to watch my behind the scenes and process stories, reel highlights, and IGTV mini classes.

Heirloom Print. What does this mean?

All reproductions in my shop are Giclee reproductions. A giclee print is a way to classify a professionally produced print using inkjet technology applies so finely you cannot see the dpi a bit and will last up to 150 years at least, with the proper care. It sets a new standard of exceptionalism in fine art prints that will capture every nuance of my paintings.

*please do not use tape or any other adhesive (even washi tape) on the surface of your print. It has the potential of pulling the ink from the surface.

Do you offer returns?

So much care and special handling goes into each painting and print which means each purchase is final. Every order, commission, and sale is handled with as much transparency as possible.  However, my goal is for you to be completely in love with your purchase so please contact me PRIOR to your purchase if you have any concerns or questions.

How do I care for my original works and prints?

To preserve your new original artwork or fine art print and help it last for a lifetime and more, here are some artwork care guidelines.

When framing please choose an option that allows the glass to never rest directly on the painting or print. It can cause condensation and the artwork can mold or moisten the dried paint, materials, or inks and spoil your fresh painting or print by sticking to the glass.

The easiest option is to take your painting to your local framer and have them professionally frame and preserve your painting for you.

If you feel comfortable doing the framing yourself, please use acid free or museum quality tapes to secure your painting to a picture mat board and mat frame insert. (Tape should only ever be applied to the back of the canvas. Never the front!)

Your original painting has been spray varnished with a UV protection and brushed with varnish gloss to help keep the colors vibrant and true to life. Please situate your painting or print to avoid direct sunlight to prevent warping, fading, and discoloration.

The walls of our homes become the backdrops of our lives. We frame our most joyful moments, display family heirlooms, and seek out art that connects to our ongoing story. Life is made up of those everyday moments—let's make them beautiful.

NOTE: Each original and print purchase comes with detailed artwork care instructions.

Who actually owns the artwork?

When you purchase an original painting as the collector, you have the right to display the artwork in your home or business but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission. This means, You, the collector will be the artworks forever home which may be gifted or inherited.

I retain all rights to all artwork and images I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold and commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork I create unless the collector has first purchased the original painting AND the collector has additionally purchased the full or partial rights to the artwork.

I am absolutely happy to have an open discussion with you if purchasing my rights to reproduce the artwork, full or partial, interests you to ensure that the artwork will never become a print.

The collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.

If the artwork is used in reproduction in a magazine or other media, I ask that credit be given to me. Thank you!
