History of the painting: *Day 5 of #28februaryflowers has changed me as an artist. Today I truly feel like the artist that has been hiding beneath the surface finally let me in. What a delightful challenge. The prompts provided were “minimalist” & “dahlia”. So I chose a limited color palette and used only ONE brush! Pretty minimalist for me! A white blossom also felt like a color that looks “minimal” but has so many opportunities for color. I deeply loved this challenge and what it meant to me as an artist. This piece will always hold a special place in my heart.
