History of the painting: *Day 18 of #28februaryflowers2021 “Delicate Iris”

Irises and I go waaaay back. My great grandmother had beautiful irises she would grow in her flower beds which were so lovely another artist painted them. I still have a notecard with the painting on it. In turn my grandmother and her daughter, grew the most lovely irises and flowers too! This is probably where my deep love of flower comes from. I can still remember sitting among those sweet flowers and feeling connected to the strong women in my life. So now, I too plant many flowers and I can’t but help feel their sweet spirits full of love while I quietly work in the garden.
