History of the painting: *Day 21 of #28februaryflowers2021 prompts were serendipitously “water” and “lily”. I’ve always wanted to paint a water lily or 100 ? but always felt daunted by the task. This mini was the perfect gateway and I cannot wait to paint more of these aquatic flora! I can see why Monet spent his lifetime studying them! There is a peace and optimism that is just so tangible!
